Senior Marketing Manager

CMC Energy Services is recruiting for a Senior Marketing Manager.

The Senior Marketing Manager will manage the marketing team that is conducting marketing and public relations campaigns for utility energy efficiency programs and for the CMC brand.


  1. Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to ongoing discussions; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
  2. Manage, coach and mentor direct reports to ensure staff is performing effectively and at their highest potential to achieve program goals and grow the organization.  This includes interviewing, planning, assigning, completing performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring and directing work.
  3. Review and sign off on all marketing client deliverables and CMC brand materials
  4. Work with Marketing Managers to develop all client marketing strategies and plans and approve all final marketing plans prior to client delivery.
  5. Contacts customers to secure speaking opportunities for the outreach team and find potential opportunities to include program and industry contact in association newsletters.
  6. Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and/or seminars.
  7. Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.
  8. Develops new uses for existing marketing research by analyzing statistics regarding market development; acquiring and analyzing data; consulting with internal and external sources.
  9. Maintains research database by identifying and assembling marketing information.
  10. Provides marketing information by answering questions and requests.
  11. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  12. Completes marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follows up on work results.
  13. Conduct work in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.


1.Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or related field. Masters degree preferred.

2.5 years of experience in marketing, communications or product management, with at least 3 years of business to business marketing.

3.2+ years of experience in the energy sector. Passion for environmental sustainability a plus.

4.Strong supervision skills to lead, direct, coach and mentor. 2+ years of supervisory experience.

5.Demonstrated experience developing marketing and communications strategies and plans.

6.Demonstrated experience managing multiple campaigns to target, attract and retain customers.

7.Demonstrated experience measuring campaign effectiveness and results.

8.Familiarity with campaign tracking software.

9.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in speech and writing, with customers, staff, managers, supervisors, contractors and clients.

10.Strong organizational, project management, problem solving and prioritization skills necessary.

11.Ability to collaborate with Senior Leadership on all topics related to program data, including the ability to obtain consensus, approval and manage projects through to implementation.

12.Resourcefulness to meet tight deadlines and flexibility with fluctuating priorities.

13.Although this position is based in the PA office, travel to other offices may be occasionally required.

14.Valid driver’s license required and use of personal vehicle may be necessary per location. Compliance with acceptable vehicle insurance levels as outlined in the company policy.

15.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
