Manager of Regional Marketing Communications

Airgas is looking for a Manager of Regional Marketing Communications

Responsible for supporting sales goals and driving favorable and consistent Airgas brand, messaging and product image, across regions, by developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communications plans with measurable results.

In particular, you will be responsible for:

*Airgas Brand Strategy: assist extended team with corporate identity standards and brand books to maintain brand integrity across regions.
*In conjunction with the Airgas marketing teams, work with regional leaders and Retail PM to understand current business challenges. Manage regional marketing to support lead generation efforts for new and existing offers by creating effective communication plans with clear brand messages that promote favorable product image, to both internal and external audiences:
*Establish a guide for merchandising best practices, including development for our retail experience that encompasses gas, safety, welding and equipment products
*Conduct on-site visits at branches to drive consistent branch strategy within the regions
*Work with regional teams to help execute retail product (gas, safety and hardgoods), brand and marketing strategy
*Open houses and other branch activities
*Store closing/moves
*Loyalty programs
*Sales collateral (print and digital) as needed
*Website content including messaging for use on store locator pages, as well as campaign pages to support local activity
*In-store promotional materials
*Product merchandising, including plan-o-grams, displays and showroom material support
*Regional trade show support
*Advertising (print, digital, radio, billboard)
*Direct mail and email
*Social media message matrix
*Track and monitor success of communications plans: evaluate the quality, creativity and effectiveness of all communications activities.
*Manage signage guidelines and assist regional facilities with branded signage for stores and other facilities.
*Manage the branded Airgas on-hold messaging library and associated vendors; maintain and build messaging library for current product and brand launches.
*Act as SME for regional teams and Retail PM as needed.
*Assist with marketing communications vendor/suppliers — product and services literature production, printing, warehousing, and fulfilling; trade shows and exhibits (corporate/national and regional); trade, association, and program publications (print and digital advertising); and billboard and more.


Are you a MATCH?

*Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Advertising (Master’s Degree preferred) or equivalent education and experience

*Minimum of five years experience creating marketing communications plans (preferably in retail/merchandising environment) and successfully managing a variety of marketing communications projects

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

*Experience writing effective, results-oriented marketing communications plans based on collaboration with marketing resources
*Copywriting experiences for a variety of media, including print collateral and advertising, websites, catalogs, direct mail and email promotions, radio, and videos (provide samples for both print and digital)
*Ability to lead in cross-functional work teams, with project management skills and attention to details, translating marketing plans and strategies into effective marketing communications plans and tactics, reviewing and advising graphic design, and using social and digital media and other tactics to deliver messages and create an effective online and instore presence
*Effective communicator; ability to work effectively and build consensus across various functional groups to achieve goals
*Excellent organization and time-management skills
*Results-oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
*Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
*Proficient in Microsoft office and Google suite tools
*Experience in Adobe Acrobat, Indesign and Photoshop preferred
