Corporate Communications Coordinator

The Coordinator, Corporate Communications is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the company's corporate and business public relations, communications and responsibility strategies and programs.

Reporting to Radian’s VP, Corporate Communications, this individual will help identify and promote opportunities to build awareness and maintain visibility of Radian and its businesses among external and internal audiences through various channels including media outreach and @Radian, the company’s intranet. This individual will also assist in the development and implementation of tools and guidelines to ensure that all promotional and marketing materials reflect the company’s brand identity. They will be responsible for developing, editing and gathering approvals for presentations, talking points, internal/external articles and press releases; maintaining a media database; updating the @Radian intranet; gathering news mentions; creating infographics, social content and videos featuring Radian employees and executives and coordinating various meetings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, refine and gather approvals for press releases, articles, presentations, newsletter, talking points, etc.
  • Draft, edit and post content to @Radian intranet
  • Provide tactical communications support for Radian business functions
  • Create infographics, social content and videos featuring Radian employees and executives
  • Regular media monitoring across pertinent news outlets and social channels as well as flagging relevant trends and insights
  • Maintain media archives and media database
  • Ensure all promotional and marketing materials meet the company’s brand identity strategy.


Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Hard worker with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills                                                                                                        
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint and video/multimedia production (preferred)                         
  • Experience using various social media platforms and knowledge of social media engagement strategies


Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of media landscape - print, digital, social and broadcast
  • Well-versed and up to speed in the latest social media technologies, platforms, services and analytics tools; Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, engaging, and grammatically correct content
  • Demonstrated oral communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to convey information in a clear, concise way, synthesizing information and presenting it to others
  • Creative thinking and proven systematic organizational skills to work independently without supervision, determine workload priorities to complete work in a timely manner, and identify and resolve problems independently

Education and Credentials

  • Required:  Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a similar field.
